An American Idol alum, Colton Dixon pursued his solo career, entering the Christian music circuit with his debut album, A Messenger. The album was quick in achieving its breakthrough on Billboard’s Christian Music charts, soaring straight to number 1. On the mainstream charts, the record achieved a cool number 15. Dixon dropped his debut single “You Are” from the album, topping the Christian Digital chart. Colton Dixon moved on to becoming a force in the Christian music scene, releasing several albums, including his latest EP Canvas, which spawned the chart topping hit, “Build A Boat.” Colton Dixon has won two GMA Dove Awards.
Multi award winning singer Danny Gokey pursued his career in country music after placing third place in American Idol Season 8. Gokey released singles “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” earning a spot within the Billboard Hot 100 and number 24 on the Hot Country Songs chart. In 2014, Gokey released the title track, “Hope Infront of Me” earning him his first number 1 charting single. The same record spawned the track, “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again,” eventually earning Gokey gold status in the U.S. Gokey’s incredible career has resulted in a ton of accolades, including five BM Christian Awards, two GMA Dove Awards, and three Grammy nominations.
His GMA Dove Awards’ 2002 Male Vocalist of the Year. Mac Powell made great strides in the Christian and country music circuit with hits like “River of Life,” “New Creation,” “Jesus Christ is Born,” and tons more. Powell has released a total of six studio albums, two of which features his collaborative work Mac Powell and the Family Reunion.
